Manchurian Apricot is a hardy apricot originating from Manchuria and Korea. Fruit is yellow to orange in colour averaging around 3-4 cm (1") in size. Ripening typically occurs from late July to mid August.
Our Manchurian Apricot trees are seedlings, so fruit characteristics like flavour, size, and ripening time may vary. While the fruit can be enjoyed fresh, it is commonly favoured for processing into jams, jellies, or drying. Manchurian Apricots features attractive pink, fragrant blossoms in spring and vibrant foliage in the fall, making it a striking ornamental addition. Many of our Prairie-bred apricot varieties trace their lineage back to the Manchurian Apricot.
