A heart-shaped plum! 🖤
The Lee Red Plum is a hardy Alberta plum bred by the late Lloyd Lee of Barrhead, AB. These very tasty purplish-red coloured plums are extremely juicy and sweet with a wonderful plum flavour.
Great for fresh eating, these are the first plums we eat in the season ready to harvest by early August in most years. Orange fleshed and clingstone, plums average 4 cm (1 1/2") in size.
Growers Note: It is highly recommended that you purchase a Canada Plum or an American Plum to pollinate our Hybrid plums, as they are self-sterile. Plum trees like fertile, well-drained soil. They should be planted at least 3-4m (12-15 feet) apart, and fruit can be expected around 4 to 6 years of age.
