A heart-shaped plum! 🖤
The Lee Red Plum is a hardy Alberta plum bred by the late Lloyd Lee of Barrhead, AB. These very tasty purplish-red coloured plums are extremely juicy and sweet with a wonderful plum flavour.
Great for fresh eating, these are the first plums we eat in the season ready to harvest by early August in most years. Orange fleshed and semi-freestone, plums average 4 cm (1 1/2") in size.
Growers Note: It is highly recommended that you purchase a Canada Plum or an American Plum to pollinate our Hybrid plums, as they are self-sterile. Plum trees like fertile, well-drained soil. They should be planted at least 3-4m (12-15 feet) apart, and fruit can be expected around 4 to 6 years of age.
