Boasting a sumptuous deep red hue, a bluish bloom, and a firm, sweet, and aromatic flesh, Ivanovka Plums are perfect for any occasion! Averaging 3-4 cm (1.5") in diameter, the thin-skinned fruits mature from late August to early September. Brought to life by Agriculture Canada in 1939, this excellent variety from Morden, Manitoba offers a delightful flavour for fresh eating and processing.
Growers Note: It is highly recommended that you purchase a Canada Plum or an American Plum to pollinate our Hybrid plums, as they are self-sterile. Plum trees like fertile, well-drained soil. They should be planted at least 3-4m (12-15 feet) apart, and fruit can be expected around 4 to 6 years of age.
