Siberian Pine is very similar to the Swiss Stone Pine often referred to as a subspecies. What makes it stand apart is that it grows larger seeds and is slightly hardier. It’s a slow grower like the other Stone Pines but can live up to 800 years! Trees can start producing around 8-11 years. It can be grown in a variety of soils such as clay to sandy loam and will grow well in our prairie soils. Trees grown from seeds selected from heathy parent trees in Saskatchewan. Our trees have been inoculated to help the tree better adapt in the transplanting process.
