Most apple trees are self-sterile and will benefit when planted alongside another variety to pollinate them. Apple trees like to grow in fertile, well drained soil. You should plant them 20 feet apart. We do have some varieties that produce after 3 years but on average you can expect most to fruit at 5 years of age. Refer to the “Planting and Care” page for more information.
Our Apple trees are sold as 1 year old whips between 2-3 feet in height.
